Old Hampshire White Mountain Single Malt Whiskey

Old Hampshire White Mountain Single Malt Whiskey is a true expression of New England Provenance. Our barley is grown on Morrill Farm, operating for 5 generations right here in Penacook, and malted at Valley Malt, in Hadley, Massachusetts. The cold winters and hot summers in the region accelerate our barrel aging, compared to single malts made in cooler climates, with toffee notes that round out the sweet, nutty qualities of the barley. Mashing, fermentation and distillation ‘on the grain’ yields a robust spirit, which we consider a distinctively American flavor. This blend of 4+ year old whiskey spends some time in our Apple Brandy barrels, lacing it with the fruity essences of New Hampshire Heirloom apples that speaks to the abundance of produce in the region. Added layers of complexity hail from finishing in 6 year old Chocorua Rye, as well as Oloroso Sherry butts.
